The McCreary Racing Support Team

Roli Sannman

Roli Sannman
Point Loma, CA

Roli, good friend of the McCrearys, has been affiliated with Baja racing since the very first Baja 1000 race where he raced in a Volkswagon bus from Ensenada to La Paz. He is a retired engineer, is a search and rescue pilot and has a Ham radio license that supports the team’s communication system. Roli pits with Chris in the most remote places around the race course because he knows every back road in Baja there is.

Ed Hughes

Ed Hughes “Uncle Eddie”
Barstow, CA

Ed is Tim’s uncle. An army retiree who was recalled to active duty at age 59 (only one of a very few at that age to still be able to pass the rigorous Army flight physical) as a helicopter instructor pilot. With 6 overseas tours, an excess of 7000 flight hours in numerous aircraft and having taught Army helicopter flight school for 19 years, Ed leads both our helicopter and road chase teams.

Dan Solis

Dan Solis
Ramona, CA

Chris Jeffers

Chris Jeffers
Ramona, CA

Jessica and Tim’s neighbor and good friend. He is a computer technician who has many years of experience chasing and pitting for the Baja races. Chris’ job on the team is to chase and pit in some of the most remote and difficult locations around the race course with Roli or Tom.

Tom

Tom
San Diego,CA

Tom works for a Maintenance and Operations Department. He owns the best chase truck on the team and is willing to take it anywhere that best supports the team in the races. He also provides those really cool "McCreary Racing" windshield banners.

Mike McCreary

Mike McCreary
Gallatin, Tennessee

Mike is Tim’s Brother who flies out from Tennessee just to pit and chase for the team’s big races in Baja. He is the team’s lead mechanic and is considered the best chaser down the Peninsula’s highways when the team is in a rush to meet up with the racer at the next pit.

Mary McCreary

Mary McCreary
Tempe, AZ

Mary is Tim's mother, and the team's most enthusiastic fan. She takes care of all the worrying and cheering and is always ready to celebrate with a bottle of champaigne or Damiana at the end of the race.
