So that's my Baja 1000 story. To me, the pre-running experience was what it was all truly about. I fell in love with my husband again and again for all his support and I became a beginning racer. My riding skills improved immensely, and I gained the experience needed to tackle my first race. Most importantly, I learned how to survive adversity in a world dominated by men and my own perseverence strengthened me both personally and physically. But for those of you who still need to know what happenned in the race to feel like there is a conclusion to this story, read on and get ready for a hilarious yet predictable ending.
